BIBLE STUDY – AUGUST 22, 2012

THE MIND FIELD
Your mind is a field. What are you growing in it?

Your thoughts give birth to your words.  Your words give birth to your acts and deeds.  Your acts and deeds give birth to your habits. Your habits give birth to your life style. Your life style gives birth to your destiny.

13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. Proverbs 15:13

15 All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast. Proverbs 15:15

A merry heart refers to your mind. God wants you to get your mind to the level so he can bless you.  A merry heart is HAPPY THOUGHTS.  No one can sabotage you but you. You have to take control of your mind field.  No one but GOD and you should rule your mind.

Your mind is a magnet and a magnifier.  Whatever is attracted to your mind will be reflected in your deeds. If you keep saying a thing after while it will become a thing.

22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22

This is one of the few times the bible talks about medicine and here it says that  having happy thoughts is like taking medicine.  In other words, if you are feeling bad the happy thoughts make you feel well.

2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews: Acts 26:2

( If you keep saying, I’m happy, after while you will be happy.)  You have to say it over and over and over until your spirit digests it. Speak over your life and watch GOD change your life.

BIBLE STUDY – AUGUST 15, 2012

THE POWER OF YOUR TONGUE

MATTHEW 12:33-37

33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.  Jesus is describing our lives.  We can make our lives good and the fruit good.  It’s not in the hands of anyone else but YOU! If you have negative fruit. (What’s happening in your life), you need to do some work on your tree. (Your mouth)

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.  Jesus is defending himself against the Pharasees.  If you don’t have anything good to say, it’s beause ther’s nothing good in you. Get around people with the right spirit. “For out of the abundance of the heart” – the center of man – his spirit – Listen to what you say most of the time.  That is your inventory (your abundance)  We have to listen to what we are saying.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. Work on your inventory.  Put more good things in.  We create negativity with our own words.  You can have either good treasure or bad treasure.  Treasure is what is important to you. Be careful of what your treasure is.  Is it good or evil?

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. Jesus is putting a lot of importance about what comes out of your  mouth.  You have to give an account of the things you have said.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. You can speak your way out of the situation. GOD can make your words come to pass.

PROVERBS 15:4

4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. When you get your mouth right you speak life.  We must train ourselves to speak life, even when things look negative.  God is working it for my good. The breach is a whole. If you are being destroyed, there is a whole somewhere.  You need to fill the whole with good treasure.  IT’S NOT WHAT YOU SEE, BUT WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE.

JOHN 6:63-64

63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. It is the spirit that brings forth life. If you got it by the flesh, it won’t last long.  The words that I say are the very breath of GOD.  Only humans speak.  If you continut to speak it the words will come alive. Negative eats negative. IT’S NOT WHAT YOU SEE.  IT’S WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE.  The spirit will make it live.

You can’t be blessed constantly speaking negativity. What you speak is the lottery ticket! Most people speak negative over themselves. (I can’t do this! I’m a failure! Im getting sick!, etc)

64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.  They didn’t believe JESUS so why do you get mad when they don’t believe you.  CHECK YOUR INVENTORY!
IT DOESN’T MATTER WHO’S IN THE WHITEHOUSE. GOD IS IN MY HOUSE!

PROVERBS 18:21

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.  If I want joy, peace, etc., in my life, I will speak joy, peace, etc in my life. It doesn’t matter what other people say, but what you say.

MATTHEW 8:8

8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

MATTHEW 6:25-34

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Bible Study & Homework from August 8, 2012

BIBLE STUDY – August 8, 2012

LUKE CHAPTER 8

VERSE 1 – “   … and the twelve were with him.”  Are you with Jesus?  When we get with JESUS we should start smelling like him….acting like him.  When JESUS gets you out of the mess – STAY OUT OF THE MESS.  We must follow him carefully, like the disciples.  Spend time with him.  HOW? Read your bible.  Quit being depressed, letting everything bother you.  There is so much to be happy about.

VERSES 5-8 -  refers to your spiritual diet and how the devil does not want you to eat of it.  The seed in the parable refers to the word of GOD.  The seed that you need causes you to prosper, bring you off your sick bed, feeds you when you’re hungry, makes a way out of no way.

VERSE 10  - unto you it is given to know – is speaking to the children of GOD. Few people out of the 7 billion people on earth grab a whole of the truth of God and keep it.  GOD has a plan for you.  All you have to do is quit messing up the plan

PSALM 91 says “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  Keep your faith in GOD and don’t feed your fear

You’re the one that has to make the seed of life prosper.  Sew the word by speaking the word.  NOTE: You can’t prosper hating people that are prosperous.  You have to love prosperity to reap prosperity.

You have to speak it and when it comes your way receive it and then do the right thing with it.  Speak it until you create it.

VERSE 12 -  Keep speaking it . Creation is in the tongue.  If you say it and believe what you say, it will come to pass.  When you believe, you sew the right words out of your mouth.  Get away from those who sew negativity.

VERSE 13 – Stay put long enough til the roots grow down.  The word must take root.

VERSE 14 – Sometimes the stuff around you will choke the word out of you.  Get rid of the stuff – the deceptiveness of riches  - Easy come – easy go.

VERSE 15 – Keep the word in your heart.  Be patient.  Stay with it.  Don’t give up.  God will be there every day with grace.  Whatever you go through he will go through with you.

Bible Study Notes & Homework from August 1, 2012

BIBLE STUDY – AUGUST 1, 2012

Where do you find “For he hath made him to be sin for us who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him?” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Where do you find” Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.”?
(Hebrews 2:17)

Where do you find “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the LORD as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day?” (2 Peter 3:8) Methuselah lived 969 years – 31 short of 1000 and yet but a day to God.

Who was Methuselah’s father? (ENOCH) What was the significance of his name? (AFTER HE DIES JUDGMENT) Genesis 5:27

During the antediluvian period (time between creation of the earth and the deluge) the earth had a greenhouse effect. Genesis 1:6 “And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divided the wters from the waters.” People lived longer because of this bubble that protected the earth.

In the post deluvian period people dIed not live as long because of sin. Sin pierced the bubble.
I
QUESTION: How long were people to live?

When we first see blood being redemptive – Exodus 12  What faiths celebrate the Passover? – Judiasm and Christianity.  How do we celebrate the passover – communion. 1 Corinthians 11:23 “This do in remembrance of me” I have a lamb

In biblical times 2 goats were taken for the sacrifice.  Before the goat was sacrificed the sins of the people were pronounced over the goats.  Then 1 goat’s neck was slit and all the blood was drained from it and place on the living goat. (This was a shadow of what God would do  for us in Jesus)  This is also were the term scapegoat came from.

In order to pay the wage of sin something innocent had to die.  Jesus paid the debt off that we might go free.
In biblical times when a man was put in jail that would post his charges on the door of his cell.  When he served his time they would write :TETELESATAI, which in Greek meant Paid-In-Full.  John 19:30, “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” (PAID IN FULL)

What does EL ELYON mean?

How fast is a beam of light?

QUESTION: Where is it written about the Second Adam?
