FAITHFULNESS AND FRUITFULNESS

DANIEL 1:4-20

We walk by faith and not by feelings.  Any long term Christian will tell you it’t not how you feel  We have to have faith in GOD and be faithful to him and what he has assigned us to do.  Faithfulness will wind up in fruitfulness.

Daniel is an example of faithfulness and fruitfulness.  He was faithful even when it wasn’t easy to be faithful.  God does not compromise.  We have to be like Daniel and stand on the word of GOD

Some things you do cause you to be cursed and out of sync with GOD.  Daniel had decided to be faithful to GOD. (verse 8)  In order to walk with GOD you have to walk in a pureness.  You have to renounce the things of any other gods.

Daniel did not want to eat the kings meat or drink and he asked the prince of the eunuchs to not let him defile himself.

In the end Daniel and his companions were healthier then the kings men and had more wisdom and understanding than all the magicians and astrologers at this time.

God will back up your faith.  The faithfulness of Daniel caused them to have favour with GOD.  They did not try to conform.  Daniel had sense enough to hold on to GOD.

FAITH AND FAITHFULNESS

1 THESSALONIANS 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
I am called of the LORD according to his purpose, therefore all things must work together for my good.  Our words should be fostering our own success.

HEBREWS 6:10-16   10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. (GOD knows what you are doing in his name and he will not forget what you have done and are doing.  We don’t have to worry about getting man’s approval because GOD sees our labour of love and is pleased)

11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: (Most people start and stop, never to finish anything.  The BIBLE says SEE IT TO THE END! – diligence)

12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (To inherit the promise we must have faith and patience)

13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, (Our GOD is so great he swears on his own name – SO HELP ME ME!)

14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. (Patience and endurance obtains the promise.  What impresses GOD is faith.  GOD is the one I am living to impress)

16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

GALATIANS 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.  (Everything that GOD promised Abraham is mine)

THE OVERCOMERS MIND-SET

 I (WE) MUST  OVERCOME
I (WE) WILL  OVERCOME
I (WE) SHALL OVERCOME

Something in going on in the supernatural that man cannot see.  Just as there is another world in the ocean as we live on land there is something going on in the supernatural simultaneously with the natural world.  Sin blinds you to the things of GOD.  When we look behind the scene it gives you more courage to overcome the enemy.

When you get this mind set you are ready to face the challenges of life.  If you give up and quit you will never see the glory of GOD.

REVELATION CHAPTER 1

5. And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.  Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

What is Jesus saying as a faithful witness about us to GOD?  I went to Earth. I became a man.  I witness the temptation.  I know the game the devil is playing. I know how the devil messes with their mind.  The devil tries to tempt them. I know what they are going through Father.  HELP THEM! DON”T DESTROY THEM!

REVELATION 2:11
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

WHAT IS THE SECOND DEATH?

REVELATION 20:15
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Bible Study Notes & Homework from August 1, 2012

BIBLE STUDY – AUGUST 1, 2012

Where do you find “For he hath made him to be sin for us who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him?” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Where do you find” Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.”?
(Hebrews 2:17)

Where do you find “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the LORD as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day?” (2 Peter 3:8) Methuselah lived 969 years – 31 short of 1000 and yet but a day to God.

Who was Methuselah’s father? (ENOCH) What was the significance of his name? (AFTER HE DIES JUDGMENT) Genesis 5:27

During the antediluvian period (time between creation of the earth and the deluge) the earth had a greenhouse effect. Genesis 1:6 “And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divided the wters from the waters.” People lived longer because of this bubble that protected the earth.

In the post deluvian period people dIed not live as long because of sin. Sin pierced the bubble.
I
QUESTION: How long were people to live?

When we first see blood being redemptive – Exodus 12  What faiths celebrate the Passover? – Judiasm and Christianity.  How do we celebrate the passover – communion. 1 Corinthians 11:23 “This do in remembrance of me” I have a lamb

In biblical times 2 goats were taken for the sacrifice.  Before the goat was sacrificed the sins of the people were pronounced over the goats.  Then 1 goat’s neck was slit and all the blood was drained from it and place on the living goat. (This was a shadow of what God would do  for us in Jesus)  This is also were the term scapegoat came from.

In order to pay the wage of sin something innocent had to die.  Jesus paid the debt off that we might go free.
In biblical times when a man was put in jail that would post his charges on the door of his cell.  When he served his time they would write :TETELESATAI, which in Greek meant Paid-In-Full.  John 19:30, “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” (PAID IN FULL)

What does EL ELYON mean?

How fast is a beam of light?

QUESTION: Where is it written about the Second Adam?
